Perry Loiselle, ARNP-BC, DNP (they/them)

I am a licensed Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, having earned my doctorate in Nursing Practice from Seattle University’s Advanced Practice Nursing program. My doctoral research focused on supporting the mental health of transgender and nonbinary youth in the primary care setting. Prior to nursing school, I received a Masters degree in HIV and Community Health from Sonoma State University’s Hutchins School of Liberal Studies. Additionally, I have experience coordinating with adolescent inpatient programs, Seattle Children’s Hospital clinics, school district special education programs (IEP/504), and ABA services.

My practice is focused on psychiatric evaluation and medication management, primarily with children, adolescents, and young adults. I have particular interest in Autism Spectrum disorder, people of all ages with diverse gender identities, and finding sustainable solutions to behavioral problems.

By recognizing and addressing mental health concerns early, I believe, we can set people up for success in life and have a better opportunity to build skills and minimize the negative impacts of mental illness overall. My approach focuses on listening to, educating, and empowering young patients. I believe in a collaborative process where young people have autonomy and we work together with the family to find whole-person solutions.
