Edina W. Carr, DNP, BSN, RN

Edina Carr, DNP, PMHNP-BC is a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner who believes healing begins with feeling understood and supported. She provides care for children, adolescents, and adults navigating a wide range of conditions, including anxiety, depression, PTSD, ADHD, bipolar disorder, autism spectrum disorder, and psychotic disorders.

For many, seeking mental health care can feel daunting and at times overwhelming, especially when stigma, past experiences, or barriers to access are involved. With the understanding that mental health is rarely “just one thing,” Edina creates a space where individuals and their families feel genuinely seen, and their stories, lived experiences, and resilience are honored.

Edina’s approach to care is grounded in shared decision-making, with treatment plans that are clear, collaborative, and aligned with each person’s goals and values. She offers medication management when clinically appropriate and integrates established treatments with innovative options, including ketamine and TMS (a non-medication option) for treatment-resistant cases when clinically indicated.

Before becoming a psychiatric provider, Edina spent nearly a decade with the United Nations in Liberia, West Africa, working alongside marginalized communities—an experience that continues to shape the compassion and perspective she brings to her practice. She earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice from Seattle University and also holds a degree in Business Administration.

Outside of work, she enjoys trying new foods, getting lost in a good book, and spending time with friends, family, and her cat, Mr. Joe, who remains convinced the home revolves around him.
